ALBA Berlin confirmed 11 total cases of COVID-19 within the squad (players and staff), after further testing was conducted Thursday. According to the team’s statement, all of those affected currently have mild or no symptoms and remain in isolation.

The German side was scheduled to play against Panathinaikos at home Thursday for Round 19 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, though the game has been suspended. Following the spike of COVID-19 cases in the team, they have also requested their upcoming German BBL game against Braunschweig to be postponed to a later date which the league approved.

ALBA last played in the EuroLeague on December 22, when they grabbed a victory against AS Monaco at home to improve to a 6-11 record.
