Billy Baron and Jordan Loyd combined 47 points to lead Zenit St Petersburg to a hard-fought 90-82 win over Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz on the road for Round 24 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. Zenit turned last week’s victory into a streak and improved to a 14-7 record in the standings, sweeping Baskonia in the regular season.

Baron led the efforts of the Russian side with 24 points and Loyd followed with 23 points and 7 rebounds, helping Zenit escape with the win. Jordan Mickey was added to the list of top scorers with 16 points and 3 rebounds.

After being down 50-44 at halftime, the visitors fought back and got ahead with the lead in the fourth quarter, edging Baskonia to remain in charge of the game and escape with the win.

Wade Baldwin emerged with 16 points for Baskonia, Steven Enoch posted 15 points and 8 rebounds, while Rokas Giedraitis and Jayson Granger followed with 14 and 13 points respectively.

Zenit will look to extend its winning streak this Friday against Real Madrid on the road (20:45 CET), while Baskonia hosts Olympiacos Friday (20:30 CET) with hopes to bounce back from its 7-15 record.
