Baskonia guard Lamar Peters suffered an injury during Tuesday’s training session which will keep him sidelined for five to six weeks, the team announced Wednesday.

Peters, 23, underwent scans that determined that he has sustained a muscle injury that affects the back of his left thigh and will require treatment.

Peters, who joined Baskonia this past November, has averages of 4.7 points, 2.7 assists across 17 minutes on the court in 15 games during his rookie EuroLeague season.

The Spanish side is called to face Olimpia Milano on the road this coming Thursday (February 10, 20:30 CET), looking to bounce back from a five-game skid that has forced them to a 7-16 record in the EuroLeague standings.
