Mindaugas Kuzminskas will be leaving Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg and returning to his home country Lithuania due to the Ukraine invasion, 15min.lt reports, citing a source close to the veteran forward.

Kuzminskas, 32, will become the second player to exit Zenit after Russia attacked Ukraine following guard Shabazz Napier. The former NBAer had just fully recovered from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined since September and was preparing to make his comeback but decided to go back to the USA due to the war.

It remains to be seen if Zenit’s Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis will also decide to do the same.

In the 2021-22 EuroLeague so far, Kuzminskas has been averaging 5.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 12:11 minutes over 22 games.
