Daniel Hackett is the sixth player to exit CSKA Moscow in the recent days after the Russian invasion in Ukraine, the club confirmed Wednesday.

Tornike Shengelia, Iffe Lundberg, Marius Grigonis, Johannes Voigtmann and Joel Bolomboy have all left the team after the latest developments and the suspension of all Russian teams from EuroLeague Basketball competitions (Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, 7DAYS EuroCup).

As in all five players’ cases, Hackett has not yet been released by the club. Per CSKA‘s statement, “the status of player agreements will be resolved later”.

Besides the departures, the rest of the squad and coaches continue to prepare for their upcoming VTB games, after the league decided to resume their season.
