After spending the night in a Barcelona hospital, Darrun Hilliard returned to Munich and the season is over for him.

The 29-year-old US guard and Bayern’s top scorer with an average of 13.7 points, has left Spain for Munich together with team doctor Sebastian Lappen.

Hilliard suffered a cracked collarbone and will be operated.

The coming weeks will show how long Hilliard, who was missing for three months in winter due to a knee injury, will be out.

Bayern is already also missing Corey Walden (9.8 ppg) for Game 2.

“Unfortunately, like last year, we lost a very important player in the first playoff game,” said general manager Marko Pesic. “He was our best scorer so far and we will obviously not be spared anything this season. But that will only mean that we are now moving even closer together. We will also play for Darrun and try to get the maximum out of this series and the season. I have complete trust in our team and the coaches.”
