Siva, 31, spent five years as a member of Alba Berlin before moving his talents to the NBL and the Sky Sport Breakers. Besides the domestic level in Germany’s easyCredit BBL, he logged 43 games played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 39 more in the 7DAYS EuroCup. In 2021-22, he has averaged 11.8 points, 4.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per NBL contest over 23 appearances.

Back in 2013, after winning the since vacated NCAA championship playing under Rick Pitino, he was selected with the 56th overall pick of the NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons. From 22 games in the NBA to introducing himself to the European stage, he joined Italy’s JuveCaserta for the 2015-16 season before landing in Germany’s capital.

The Greens have gone through major changes on multiple levels. Replacing Dimitris Priftis, Giorgos Vovoras returned for a second stint as a head coach, while former play-caller Argyris Pedoulakis was named as the new technical director. Recent front-office departures included Dimitris Diamantidis and Fragiskos Alvertis, both carrying legendary status as Panathinaikos players.

Wrapping up the latest EuroLeague campaign, the Greek giant is determined to address roster needs and strengthen the squad for the best possible outcome at the domestic level. The 19-2 W-L tally is one game short of Stoiximan Basket League Regular Season leader and archrival Olympiacos with three games remaining before the Playoffs.
