Andrea Trinchieri and Sarunas Jasikevicius have very little left to hide in front of Game 4 and the team with higher intensity will take the win

Andrea Trinchieri and Bayern Munich found themselves down 2-1 in the best-of-five Euroleague playoff series against Barcelona but the Germans will have one more chance in front of the home crowd.

Coach Trinchieri believes his squad can still fight for the Final Four and notes that there’s no reason to feel bad because of a loss against the best team in the competition.

“We’re still in the series. There’s no reason to be frustrated after losing to the best team in the EuroLeague. As after the first game, we will try to find solutions and fight as well as we did after halftime on Wednesday.”

Deshaun Thomas is aware that Barca will come out with physical play and matching that will be the key to having a shot at victory.

“The game tomorrow is the next chance to fight for another game. They’re going to come out the same again and want to repeat what they showed on Wednesday, very big physique. We need to match that this time and hit the shots we need. Then we fight for victory. Again, we are glad to have the chance of a new day.”

Meanwhile, coach Sarunas Jasikevicius is wary of his team’s inconsistent play at times and would like his team not to underestimate the opponent, playing until the very end and closing the series as soon as possible.

“Starting the game well always helps, but games last 40 minutes. We lost some focus on the third quarter but we managed to react. We have the goal of doing our thing and winning the game. Only Game 4 exists. I expect more of the same from Bayern: toughness, pressure on the ball, a solid team. A team that is playing for dear life, it’s their last chance and we must match their level of intensity, at least.”

Brandon Davies echoed those words.

“They are a difficult team, it won’t be easy, especially in a playoffs context. We have to be ready to play. In Game 3 we paid attention to details, played together and with patience. That is the key.”
