Vassilis Spanoulis’ NGS fend off Stellaazzurra Rome in Game 1 of the ANGT 2021-22 Belgrade Finals and the former Olympiacos mastermind spoke of the Reds and his support to the team, as well as his wish for them to win a title.

And as he clarified after the end of the game, neither does he see any “chances” for Efes to win the semifinal, nor will he make moderate predictions: “I am not objective, I am with Olympiacos, Spanoulis said to Eurohoops’ Vangelis Ioannou on site. “They have my blessing to get a win over Efes. I will not be on the court, but I will be in the stands”.

Of course, apart from being in the stands for the upcoming semifinal against Anadolu Efes (18/5, 18:00 CET) and the ANGT, now coach Spanoulis feels ready to take on the next challenge, this time as a head coach, or so he hinted.

“I was born ready”, Spanoulis said with a smile, yet continued in a more serious tone in relation to the potential interest of teams such as ASVEL and Promitheas Patras “When I feel that I am ready to change level, I will announce it”.
