The EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA) will be presenting its annual awards between June 8 and 10. Members of the association have voted across 9 different categories, and the first results for the Most Respected Player, Best Newcomer, and Fair Play award are now published.

ALBA Berlin’s Luka Sikma landed the Fair Play award as voted by his ELPA peers. “A player with exemplary behavior on the court, promoting the spirit of fair play and showing qualities such as fairness and respect,” writes the ELPA.

UNICS Kazan’s John Brown III was named the Best Newcomer of the season, following his impressive campaign in the EuroLeague up to the suspension of Russian clubs.

As for the Most Respected Player honor, Olimpia Milano‘s Kyle Hines landed the award once again, as “a player that earned most respect and embodied a true role model, on and off the court”.

The ELPA will continue announcing the rest of its awards in the following days, and the categories are the following:

  • Best 6th Man
  • Most Improved Player
  • Most Clutch Player
  • Best Young Player
