Lavrinovic brothers say farewell in exhibition game full of Lithuanian stars

An exhibition game was held in Vilnius in honor of the iconic twin brothers.

After announcing their retirement, twin brothers Darjus and Ksistof Lavrinovic bid their own farewell to basketball in an exhibition match that was held in their native Vilnius, Lithuania.

Several stars of the past (Arvydas Macijauskas, Ramunas Siskauskas, Saulius Stombergas, Robertas Javtokas) and present (Jonas Valanciunas, Arturas Gudaitis, Mindaugas Kuzminskas) Lithuanian basketball scene gathered in Vilnius in honor of the most famous twin players in Europe and were divided into two teams: Team Darjus and Team Ksistof. It was the latter that won 112 – 92 behind 22 points by Kuzminskas.

Both Ksistof and Darjus Lavrinovic began their careers in 1998 with BC Alytus and had a long career with multiple stints in EuroLeague clubs. Ksistof made the All-EuroLeague Second Team in 2008 and 2011 and Darjus also received the same honor in 2006.

They were both part of the Lithuanian national teams that won the silver medal in the 2013 EuroBasket and the bronze medal in the 2011 EuroBasket.
