Jeffery Taylor exits Real Madrid after seven years

Real Madrid announced Saturday that they have parted ways with forward Jeffery Taylor after seven years.

33-year-old Taylor first joined Real in 2015-16 and ever since he has helped the club win a EuroLeague title in 2018, four Spanish League championships (2016, 2018, 2019, 2022), and two Spanish Cups (2016, 2017).

Through his long tenure with the club, Taylor has become the second foreign player with the most games with Madrid, for a total of 463.

Per the club’s official announcement:

Real Madrid CF announces that our basketball player Jeffery Taylor has ended his relationship with the club.

Real Madrid wants to show its gratitude and affection to Jeffery Taylor for his exemplary behavior and for the dedication and professionalism that he has shown throughout the time he has defended our shirt.

In his seven seasons at Real Madrid, Taylor has won 13 titles: 1 European Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 4 Leagues, 3 Copas del Rey and 4 Spanish Super Cups.

Taylor has become the second foreigner who has played the most games in the history of our basketball team, with a total of 463 games.

Real Madrid wishes him and his entire family all the best in this new stage of his life.”
