Fabien Causeur ended his contract with Real Madrid this Thursday, June 30, but he will continue to wear the white jersey, after reaching a two-year extension agreement, per Spanish newspaper AS.

The French shooting guard, who has just turned 35, was one of the key players in the Spanish League Finals, probably the second-best of Madrid behind Eddy Tavares.

Causeur has just finished his fifth season with the club and, a few hours after winning his third league title, he said the following to AS: “My dream is to stay in Madrid. Everyone knows that I am happy here, that I feel part of this great family”.

It has to be noted that there were offers from him, from France and Russia per Eurohoops sources, but Causeur decided to stay in Madrid.
