Parker Jackson-Cartwright inked a three-year contract to join LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, the team announced Friday. ASVEL also confirmed the addition of Retin Obasohan, reported by Eurohoops Thursday.

Jackson-Cartwright, 26, is coming off a brilliant season in Germany. Leading Telekom Baskets Bonn to second place in the easyCredit BBL Regular Season earned him the season MVP distinction. Moving into the Playoffs, his side was knocked out by Turkish Airlines EuroLeague outlet FC Bayern Munich in the Semifinals.

The former Arizona standout averaged 20.4 points, 7.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game in the German league. Previous stops of his professional career sent him to a season in the second division of France and a one-year stint in Great Britain’s BBL, following a cup of tea with the Westchester Knicks of the G League to begin his professional career. Huge upgrade coming up with the debut in EuroLeague.

“His progress in the last couple of years has been impressive,” confirmed head coach T.J. Parker describing the latest addition to his squad, “He will bring us the aggressiveness in transition as his speed with the ball is very difficult to match. His passing abilities and work for the team will help get his teammates involved and fits perfectly with my preferred style of play. His height might look like a disadvantage in defense but he has always been a good defender thanks to his reach. He will once again prove himself playing the highest level in Euroleague.”

Nando de Colo and Amine Noua were the first two summer signings for the French team. Play-caller Parker penned a three-year contract extension.
