Filip Petrusev is staying in Europe despite his desire to join the Philadelphia 76ers squad and has signed a deal with Crvena Zvezda for next season, the club confirmed Tuesday.

Petrusev played 35 games for Efes this past season between Euroleague and the Turkish league and averaged 5.2 points in less than ten minutes in Euroleague while his numbers moved up to 15.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in Turkey.

During the offseason, the Serbian player has been linked with Panathinaikos that was taken over by Dejan Radonjic as the new head coach, but he will ultimately move to his native next season and continue his EuroLeague career.
