Mike Tobey is preparing for the upcoming Eurobasket as a member of the Slovenian national team and he was still waiting for an offer for the following professional step of his career.
Per Eurohoops sources, that offer came from Spain. Mike Tobey has a deal with Barcelona, which needs a boost in the front line. Tobey, especially thanks to his outside shooting, may fit the bill.
It has to be noted that it remains unclear if this interest is connected to Nikola Mirotic’s availability for the start of the season.
Per Barcelona’s press release: “Nikola Mirotic has discomfort in the Achilles tendon of his left foot. The Blaugrana player, who already played the final leg of the Liga Endesa with discomfort, is undergoing recovery treatment that will last for the next few weeks. Since the end of the 2021/22 season, the player has been under the control of the Club’s medical services. His evolution will mark his return to the courts”.
There’s no official timetable for Mirotic’s return to action and his situation remains unclear.
