Croatian prospect Leo Menalo is the latest addition to the roster of Virtus Bologna.

Per the club announcement: Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has acquired outright, from Stella Azzurra Roma, the rights to the sports performance of player Leo Menalo.

Menalo has signed a four-year contract with Virtus Segafredo, until June 30, 2026.

Menalo was born in Split on January 6, 2002. A 206cm forward, Leo began his career in his homeland in the youth ranks of KK Cibona. A member of the junior national team of Croatia, he is already four years in our country, Italy, starting with the 2018/19 season with Stella Azzurra. He then played for three consecutive seasons in A2, between Roseto and Stella Azzurra in Rome. In the last season in the capital he finished with an average of 5 points, almost 4 rebounds and 1 assist per game in 16 minutes. Considered one of Europe’s Top prospects for those born in 2002, Leo is back from the Under-20 European Championships where, with the Croatia jersey, he cruised at an average of 14 with 4.4 rebounds, 62 percent from two-point range, and 40 percent from three.
