It was November 22nd 2014, when Crvena Zvezda‘s fan, Marko Ivkovic, was murdered outside Abdi Ipekci in Istanbul and it seems that the time has come for the guilty to be punished for his actions.

At that night, Galatasaray was hosting Crvena Zvezda in the context of Euroleague’s regular season. However, nobody could imagine that this would be one of the darkest moments in the history of the competition.

The hosts didn’t let the 400 fans of the Serbian team enter the arena, although they had reached a preliminary agreement. At the same time, the Delije were attacked by Turks fans and, during the fight, the 25-year-old Marko Ivkovic was murdered by Kadri Aktas. Five days later, the perpetrator was arrested. According to the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet, he was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment, while the other six suspects were released.
