Lithuanian champions Zalgiris Kaunas signed a 3+2 contract with Dovydas Giedraitis, per a club announcement.

The 21-year-old player (1,93 m.) belonged to the Spanish club Estudiantes for the last five years and spent the last season on loan in Lietkabelis.

Zalgiris is always watching young and talented Lithuanian basketball players, and when we look at Dovydas, we see great potential. We believe that he will continue to progress rapidly as he moves to a higher level, so we really wanted to see him in Kaunas,” Zalgiris director Paulius Motiejunas said.

“Playing for Zalgiris will be another big step in my career. I would like to thank the club and the coaches for their trust, I feel a great responsibility to demonstrate my talent”, Giedraitis added.

The young guard played last season in the EuroCup where he had 8.6 points and 1.7 assists in an average of 25 minutes.
