The EuroLeague players association (ELPA) welcomed Dejan Boridoga and Marshall Glickman on their new positions as the head of the EuroLeague.
Per the press release: ELPA and its members congratulate Dejan Bodiroga (President) and Marshall Glickman (CEO) to being appointed as new leaders of EuroLeague Basketball senior management.
We look forward to work with Mr. Bodiroga, whose invaluable experience as one of the best European basketball players of all time will undoubtedly be helpful when we will be striving to achieve even bigger improvements and higher standards for EuroLeague and EuroCup players. At the same time, we are eager to explore sports business opportunities with Mr. Glickman and see how players could contribute to elevate both competitions and expand the basketball fanbase. We have no doubt that we will soon enter into a fruitful and active collaboration.
We would also like to express our gratitude to former President and CEO Jordi Bertomeu, who was instrumental in allowing players to organize their union within the Euroleague umbrella. His vision to include players as main stakeholders of the competition marked a new era in European basketball and it is our duty to continue building on the work that was started four years ago when ELPA was established.
