Best-case scenario for Efes is that Larkin returns at the end of November.

Anadolu Efes superstar Shane Larkin will stay out of action for at least four to five weeks from now, his coach Ergin Ataman said. The American guard has been sidelined with a ligament tear injury in his right-hand fingers since the Group stage of the 2022 EuroBasket.

“Shane Larkin will undergo an examination on October 14,” Ataman mentioned after the 89-79 win of Efes over Petkim Spor Sunday (10/9). “He went to the USA yesterday. I’m guessing he can’t play for another four to five weeks. We will evaluate his situation week by week, but I don’t think he can play at least six-seven more games in EuroLeague.”

Larkin was forced to leave the Turkish national team before the EuroBasket knockout phase and return to Istanbul where he underwent surgery.

Efes began the 2022-23 EuroLeague by defeating Crvena Zvezda at home. Larkin may potentially miss some big matches like the all-Turkish clash vs. Fenerbahce Beko, the games vs. Barcelona and Olimpia Milano at home and the one on the road at Real Madrid.
