The Team Captains’ Survey answers five burning questions about the 2022-23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season

The most hungry player, the biggest challenge, the best signing, and more questions answered in the annual Team Captains’ Survey, shared by Euroleague Basketball Monday.

The captains of all 18 teams were asked five questions. Replies formed interesting characteristics on the 2022-23 edition of EuroLeague and also revealed some unexpected opinions.

-What player will come back hungrier than anyone else in the EuroLeague?

The survey said Nikola Mirotic, voted by 33.3%. Dealing with the Achilles tendon injury in his left leg, the reigning season MVP started the season on the injury list of FC Barcelona.

Moving from Barca to Fenerbahce Beko in the offseason, Nick Calathes got 11.1% and second place.

-What player do you consider your biggest challenge to face as an opponent?

Anadolu Efes teammates, Will Clyburn and Shane Larkin shared first place gathering 16.7% of the votes from the captains.

-Who is the best EuroLeague signing in the 2022-23 season?

Siding with our list, the captains picked Clyburn as the top addition completed during the offseason. He received 33.3% of the votes.

Staying in Istanbul, but from Efes to Fener, Carsen Edwards landed second favored by 16.7% of the captains.

-Which head coach do you most look forward to facing?

Barcelona’s Sarunas Jasikevicius was first with 27.8% and Partizan Mozzart Bet’s Zeljko Obradovic second with 22.2%. Some would expect it the other way around with Obradovic back in the competition after a brief break. The captains have spoken.

-Which opposing team is your favorite to visit?

Real Madrid‘s WiZink Center and Fenerbahce’s Ulker Sports and Event Hall with 16.7% apiece were tied.
