In Round 8 of the EuroLeague, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan suffered its 4th loss in a row in Kaunas, where Zalgiris won 71-62.

Two of the worst players in the Italian team were the former Zalgiris Kaunas elements Brandon Davies and Kevin Pangos.

The American center had only 2 points in 12 minutes on the court, while the Canadian point guard had 11 points but shot 2/9 from three points.

In the post-game press conference, Milan’s head coach Ettore Messina talked about their current situation. “Davies and Pangos are our two major summer signings. They’re not playing well and we’ll try everything to help them to play better. I brought them here and I put a lot of trust in them. I need to help them, but also it’s very important that they help themselves”, he said.

Then, he made a very explicit metaphor. “In life, the very first rule is that when shit is going on, you help yourselves stop the fan. If you wait every time for somebody else to stop the fan, you get a lot of shit in your face. I’m sorry for my honest language. They need to help themselves and all of us are here to help them at the same time”, he added.
