The legendary coach was upset by the cancellation of tickets to Partizan fans at the Palau Blaugrana

During this Thursday, the WiZink Center lived some of the greatest displacements of a visiting hobby. Partizan’s black amateur t-shirts covered much of Goya’s background, but they also had a large representation throughout the stands.

“We are very proud that so many people came to help us”, Zeljko Obradovic thanked after the match against Real Madrid. “Among the four matches we have had at home, we have had almost 80,000 fans, which is incredible. I am always grateful to them. We have sold almost 12,000 season tickets and we are very proud of it”.

The Serbian coach also took advantage of the moment to remember the incident that Partizan supporters experienced last Tuesday in Barcelona when more than 250 fans were left out of the Palau Blaugrana, answering to Eurohoops in the post-game press conference.

“I think these environments that we can see are special. Today here and the other day in Barcelona. But I don’t know what kind of problems there were. People who bought tickets four months ago, plane tickets, everything… and couldn’t get into the game. So we have Real Madrid to thank for everything they did tonight. The people who came here could support us, there was a good atmosphere and the fans enjoyed the teams. So, once again, I thank you for the support you gave us since the beginning of the season. I think they will continue like this until the end”.

The fans displaced to Madrid also performed chants against the club on numerous occasions as a protest, although Barça had been justified as follows:

“FC Barcelona has proceeded to the cancellation and return of more than 250 tickets acquired by supporters of BC Partizan of Belgrade for the game of the 9th day of the Euroleague that is disputed this Tuesday, at 20.45h, in the Palau Blaugrana.

The Club, which has detected a security problem in their platforms, has returned the full amount of tickets to all those Partizan fans who had purchased a location in the space of the local fans”.
