Round 11 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season presents Nick Calathes as a valuable fantasy option

By Dimitris Minaretzis/ info@eurohoops.net

Backed by a brilliant start to the 2022-23 campaign, Nick Calathes shapes yet another option for Euroleague Fantasy. Eurohoops picked up the experienced point guard and suggests this path to fellow Fantasy players.

Enjoying a two-win advantage from four teams currently sharing the second place in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague standings, Fenerbahce Beko has enjoyed the Greek international providing points, assists, and more since day one.

Calathes, 33, scored big Fantasy points in the early chunk of the season and overcame a brief decline to bounce back with 18, 25, and 13 Fantasy points over his last three appearances. Expecting the trend to continue, we added him to our team.

Scottie Wilbekin was recently forced to the injury list. Consequently, head coach Dimitris Itoudis will assign additional ball-handling responsibilities to Calathes. From there, more Fantasy points as well.

In Round 11, Fener will play host to Real Madrid Friday. We expect Calathes to at least match his average playing time of 27 minutes per game.

Tagged at 13.5 units, he is far from being considered a low-cost Fantasy addition. But we think this is the best opportunity to put him in your squad. Calathes, a consistent contributor and extremely helpful for his team, has upped his direct offensive input to 9.7 points per game, enough for a spot on our team.

Enter Donatas Motiejunas

Our captain Sasha Vezenkov has proved to be the best possible choice at the top of the season. We retained most of our other picks as well and added Donatas Motiejunas as our sixth player.
