Adjudicatory proceeding against Crvena Zvezda mts resulting in a provisional measure that prevents the addition of new members on the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague squad

Crvena Zvezda mts is facing an adjudicatory proceeding due to existing overdue payables and lacking due information. Consequently, the team based in Belgrade will deal with a ban from registering new players and coaches on the squad of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Euroleague Basketball announced the decisions without disclosing further details on Thursday.

Per the press release: “Following the referral by the Management Control Commission of an adjudicatory proceeding against Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade on the basis of existing overdue payables and omitting to provide due information, the Finance Panel has imposed a provisional measure prohibiting the registration of new players and coaches on the Club.”

On a five-game winning streak across all competitions since hiring Dusko Ivanovic as the new head coach, Crvena Zvezda improved to 4-6 in EuroLeague and 6-1 in AdmiralBet ABA League. Up next is welcoming Virtus Segafredo Bologna in Aleksandar Nikolic Hall tomorrow, Friday evening. Minus the recent addition to the injury list in Nikola Ivanovic, the rest of the players are listed as available to play in the first official meeting of Crvena Zvezda and Virtus Bologna, part of Round 11 of the EuroLeague Regular Season.

The most recent notch on the winning streak was defeating Partizan Mozzart Bet on Monday. From the ABA edition of the Belgrade derby to the first-ever Serbian derby in EuroLeague history, coming up next week. The main event of Regular Season Round 12 in the top-tier club continental competition is scheduled to be held in Stark Arena next Thursday.
