The owner of Panathinaikos Athens, Dimitrios Giannakopoulos fined 80.000 euros and banned from attending the next three games for offensive statements

The owner of Panathinaikos Athens, Dimitris Giannakopoulos been sanctioned by the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with a fine of 80,000€ and a prohibition of accessing the Euroleague Basketball arenas the next three games of the Greens.

Giannakopoulos was sanctioned for its offensive statements under Article 24.1.g of the Disciplinary Code, as the report states.

Dimitris Giannakopoulos can file an appeal within ten days before the Appeals Panel.

Panathinaikos owner made public accusations against the referees in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague in the aftermath of the heated match against Partizan Mozzart Bet at OAKA Arena.

EuroLeague shortly began a disciplinary review, resulting in a hefty fine and a three-game ban.
