The 2022 FIFA World Cup comes to an end today, Sunday.

From Luca Vildoza of Crvena Zvezda mts supporting his home country of Argentina in the final to Mathias Lessort of Partizan Mozzart Bet rooting for France. From the Belgrade rivals colliding in both the continental and regional level via the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and AdmiralBet ABA League, Lessort and Vildoza are on opposite ends of the FIFA World Cup Final as well.

“I watched all the games I could, it’s my country. We can make history by winning consecutive world championships, after 60 years [ed. Brazil in 1958 and 1962], Lessort told Eurohoops.

Les Bleus beat Australia and Denmark in the group stage, before knocking out Poland, England, and Morocco to reach the final. They captured the World Cup title in Russia in 2018 and are four years later seeking the second in a row in Qatar.

“I really believe that we are the best team in the world, this team has no weaknesses,” added Lessort, “We have maybe eight great players injured, the Ballon d’Or winner [ed. Karim Benzema] is injured, it all shows how good a team we have in football. That’s why I believe we will win. I’m sorry [Lionel] Messi, but we’re winning.

Both packing a couple of championships, France or Argentina will become the fourth country managing to top the World Cup three times. Brazil leads the list of most titles with five, while Germany and Italy shared second place with four each.
