According to Fabrizio Lorenzi of La Repubblica, Virtus Segafredo Bologna is expected to sign the Anadolu Efes power forward Achile Polonoara.
Polonara joined the defending champions of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last summer, but after a couple of months with the team, it is clear that it’s not working for him in Istanbul.
The 31-year-old player had limited minutes in the EuroLeague, spending 11,4 minutes per game on the floor, with just three games played in the Turkish League.
He is averaging just 2,9 points and 2,2 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague.
Achile Polonara last played in his home country in 2019 for Dinamo Sassari. After that, he joined Baskonia and won the ACB League. Last season he wore Fenerbahce‘s jersey and won against Efes in the BSL finals.
