As announced by Bayern Munich in an official press release, Andreas Obst will be sidelined for the next weeks due to an elbow injury suffered during training before leaving for Kaunas.

The German team is set to face Zalgiris but Andrea Trinchieri won’t have the sharpshooter, who’s averaging 9.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague this season.

“This was the result of an investigation on Thursday morning. His arm will first be immobilized and then the shooting guard will be checked again in a month”, Bayern’s statement says.

Bayern Munich will have to deal with a difficult situation in the next few weeks, as also Vladimir Lucic and Augustine Rubit will be out respectively because of another elbow injury and a groin injury.

Moreover, both guards Nick Weiler-Babb and Ognjen Jaramaz have been out since the beginning of the week due to a gastrointestinal infection, and they could possibly miss the game against Zalgiris, scheduled for tomorrow at 19:00 CET.
