Partizan Belgrade won the second EuroLeague game in a row against Turkish teams. After beating Anadolu Efes, Zeljko Obradovic‘s team took down Fenerbahce with a 73-72 on-the-road win.

James Nunnally, who had five points and five rebounds against his former team, spoke to Eurohoops after the win. “We’ve had a lot of ups and downs in the last few weeks. But now I think we’ve learned how to close games. We’re trying. We’re a young team and we’ve been away from the EuroLeague for many years”, he said.

“We’re getting better day by day. We’re learning how to play together. We’re trying to make up for each other’s mistakes. We’re covering it up and I think that’s the point. We had a great win today and it feels great”, he added on the Serbian team’s moment.

Playing with the yellow-and-blue team first from 2016 to 2018 and then in 2020, James Nunnally has Fenerbahce in his heart. “We had a big win against a club that has a place in my heart. I am grateful for the love the fans show both on social media and here. It really makes you feel good. There is mutual respect. They are a great group of fans”, he commented on the Turkish team’s fanbase.

Fenerbahce organization is at the highest level for me. The management of the club, the way it handles on and off the court in basketball. There are amazing people here who made my Fenerbahce adventure even better”, he added.
