In Round 19 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, Olympiacos won 85-83 on the road against Virtus Bologna in a game full of controversy.

In the last few minutes of the game, in fact, there have been a few questionable calls by the refereeing trio, including one on Semi Ojeleye that led to Milos Teodosic receiving two technicals and being fouled out.

In the post-game press conference, Sergio Scariolo talked about the referees’ decisions. “Coaches and players make mistakes. Especially in the last minutes, I don’t remember such a huge series of refereeing mistakes, and I’m quite old. I rewatched everything and I’m flipping. But referees also do mistakes”, he said.

“There are situations where you have to keep control of your nerves because it is your emotionality that makes you see things from a subjective perspective. But tonight is hard to swallow. A bad set of circumstances at the end of the game. But we are debutants and we have to put down. We need to put a few more years in our back, we hope we can do that”, he added.

Finally, he went on to talk about Milos Teodosic, who got fouled out with 00:19 left in the fourth quarter. “Milos is Milos. In his great goodness, and when he loses his head in those circumstances. We do not want to change him, we take him as he is”, Scariolo commented on the Serbian playmaker.
