Panathinaikos Athens sent an official letter to EuroLeague Basketball and Senior Director of Officiating Richard Stokes to express the complaints of the club regarding the refereeing and a specific play that took place in the game vs. Fenerbahce Beko.

In the letter, Panathinaikos particularly mentions a crucial non-call by the referees (Robert Lottermoser, Juan Carlos Garcia, Uros Nikolic) in the game against Fenerbahce, when Devin Booker fouled Mateusz Ponitka with the score tied and five seconds remaining in regulation, while the Turkish side was in the foul penalty. Fenerbahce ultimately won the match in overtime.
