D.J. Seeley sign a contract until the end of the season

D.J. Seeley signed until the end of the season for Bayern Munich. The 33-year-old American, who has already played in the Munich jersey since December 2020 and won the 2021 cup with FCBB, has just terminated his contract with the French first-division club Gravelines-Dunkerque.

The Bavarians are reacting to the effects of the frequent illnesses and injuries since the start of the season.

“We’ve been playing with a very short rotation for a good six weeks now, after we had to cope with numerous staff shortages, especially in the backcourt,” said sporting director Daniele Baiesi on Seeley’s return to the Audi Dome. “In view of these facts, we have decided to strengthen our rotation here in order to prevent further overloading of those players who have recently had to play very, very much – if not far too much – with three to four games a week.”

Currently, head coach Andrea Trinchieri has to do without the injured starters Vladimir Lucic and Andreas Obst (both build-up after ligament injuries in the elbow). Zan Mark Sisko was eliminated at the beginning of November for personal reasons, so the international contingent has only consisted of seven players so far.
