In Round 20 of the 2022-23 EuroLeague Regular Season, Milan will host ASVEL Villeurbanne, and Ettore Messina will finally have Gigi Datome available to play.
The former Fenerbahce player talked to Sky Sports before the game, revealing his feelings. “It was very sad that I wasn’t able to help my team for a long time because of my injury, but I’m not sure if things would have gone better for us if I had been on the field”, he said.
“We had a very bad first half as a team, in the remaining part, each player must keep their concentration level at the highest level and do their best. We still have a chance to reverse the bad trend so far, we must all do our best to achieve this. We showed a very unstable image as a team, we need to fix this situation by working hard in training”, Gigi Datome commented on Milan’s moment.
Gigi Datome first came back against Tortona in the LBA, scoring five points. “I felt very emotional when I entered the game in the Derthona Basket game in the league. It’s great to be back because I missed basketball so much. I also missed feeling good. I will do my best to turn the tide for the remainder of the season”, he added.
