If Maccabi Tel Aviv convincingly beat ALBA Berlin in Round 20 of the 2022-23 EuroLeague Regular Season, a big credit has to be given to Wade Baldwin IV, who has been named MVP of the Week.

Replacing for almost the entire game Lorenzo Brown, who suffered an ankle sprain and will miss two to three weeks of action, the 26-year-old American guard had a great performance of 33 points.

In 27:34 minutes on the court, he had a career-high of 33 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 6 fouls drawn, and 35 of PIR, shooting 8/13 from two, 4/8 from beyond the arc, and 5/6 at the charity stripe.

This is Wade Baldwin’s fourth EuroLeague MVP of the Round. He also won this award in Week 14 of the 2020-21 season with Bayern Munich and in Rounds 17 and 30 of the 2021-22 season with Baskonia.

Despite missing several weeks due to a hamstring strain, he is averaging 15.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game, shooting 95.6% at the line in this year’s EuroLeague, helping Maccabi Tel Aviv enter the playoff race with an 11-9 record, tying with Baskonia for the 7th seed.
