Mike James is the best-paid player in the French league Betclic Elite LNB Pro A, but LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne’s Nando De Colo is not far behind

France’s Betclic Elite LNB Pro A providing information on the team budgets before every season is rare among remaining European domestic leagues.

French outlet BasketEurope dug deep to find the player’s salaries records, and revealed financial information regarding AS Monaco and LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

According to their report, Monaco’s Mike James is the best-paid player in French basketball, with 2.000.000 euros per season, before taxes.

Monaco, with a reported budget of 20.724.000 euros, had three players with seven figures on their contract, as Jordan Loyd has a 1.100.000 salary per season, while Adrien Moerman had 1.000.000 before he and the club decided to part ways on a mutual agreement.

Apart from La Roca Team, ASVEL, with a budget of  15.762.000 euros, has two millionaires on their roster. Obviously, Nando De Colo with 1.500.000 euros. One of the most prominent players in Euroleague history had 1.900.000 dollars for the previous season with Fenerbahce, as BasketEurope reports.

The other ASVEL seven-figure player is Joffrey Lauvergne, with exactly 1.000.000 euros for the season. Unfortunately, the former Fenerbahce and Zalgiris big man got seriously injured at the very beginning of the season and is ruled out until the end.

As for the coaches, Sasa Obradovic has 500.000 euros per season worth of contract until 2025. His colleague from ASVEL’s bench T. J. Parker earns 250.000 euros annually.
