Panathinaikos decided to sent an official protest for a call made in the fourth quarter of the game against Baskonia

Panathinaikos was defeated by Baskonia 95-90, however, the Greens have several complaints from the referees mainly about one of their fourth-quarter decision.

With six minutes left on the clock, Dwayne Bacon hit a three-pointer to make the score 83-75, but the basket did not count. The referees changed their decision, went to the instant replay, and charged Marius Grigonis with an unsportsmanlike foul for the immediately preceding play.

The score became 85-72 with 2/2 shots by Vania Marinkovic and Baskonia got a 13-point advantage, instead of Panathinaikos trimming their lead to eight points.

The Greek club decided to proceed to an official protest to the Euroleague for the call in question, insisting that there was no foul call before the shot of Bacon, therefore the referees couldn’t ignore the made basket and turn back the clock to the previous play.
