Badalona’s Ruben Prey named ANGT Patras MVP in tournament win

Portugal big man Ruben Pray stood out from Badalona in the ANGT tournament of Patras.

Joventut Badalona big man Ruben Prey scored 19 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and delivered four blocks as Joventut Badalona beat ASVEL Villeurbanne in the Final of EuroLeague’s Adidas Next Generation Tournament held in Patras, Greece.

Prey, a Portuguese 6’11 forward/center who becomes 18 years old on February 16th, averaged 14.0 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.2 blocks over 31:02 minutes in the tournament. 17-year-old Spanish forward Iker Garmenda had 13.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals, including 17 points and 14 rebounds in the Final.

Swingman Felix de Almeida (France, 2005) and guard Yohann Sissoko (France, 2006) stood out from ASVEL. The former had 14 points plus five rebounds while the latter finished with 11 points, six assists and five rebounds.

Center Mervyn Muamba (France, 2005) led ASVEL in the tournament overall with 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Badalona advanced to the ANGT tournament of Kaunas, Lithuania.
