In the EuroLeague Round 25, Virtus Bologna got the upper hand against Baskonia, beating the Basque side 88-83 thanks to an offensive boost from Milos Teodosic and Marco Belinelli.

The black-and-white team has now fully entered the playoff picture, being at the 12th position in the EuroLeague standings with a 12-13 record with Sergio Scariolo on the bench.

In the last few days, however, there were rumors about the Spanish national team head coach potentially leaving Virtus Bologna at the end of the season. In the post-game press conference, the former Toronto Raptors coaching assistant had some words about it.

“With all sincerity, I want to reassure you that all the things that have been talked about me do not exist. I am 100% focused on Virtus. I want to make the best season finale possible. I’m happy here in Bologna, I’m happy with this team. Personally, I haven’t had any kind of conversation with anyone, and that would be all. Don’t worry, everyone, we’re on it”, Sergio Scariolo said after the victory.
