It’s not breaking news: Sasha Vezenkov keeps on imposing his name as the best EuroLeague player for the 2022-23 season. Leading Olympiacos on top of the standings (18-7), the Bulgarian power forward has been named MVP of the competition for the month of February.

The 27-year-old superstar led Olympiacos to three victories in the last month against Anadolu Efes, ALBA Berlin, and Valencia. In this span, he averaged 23.6 points, shooting 62.7% from the field, and 7.6 rebounds. He also had 12 points and 12 rebounds in the 93-73 away win against Fenerbahce at the end of January.

He was named Round 24 MVP following his double-double of 28 points (season-high) and 13 rebounds in the road victory against ALBA Berlin. Later on, he led Olympiacos to the Greece Cup win, being named MVP of the whole tournament.

If this wasn’t enough, on February 26, instead of resting he traveled to Portugal with the Bulgarian national team to try to bring it to the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers. Bulgaria lost, but he had 30 points with 10/16 FG in 36:54 minutes on the court.

Since the beginning of the EuroLeague Regular Season, he has been averaging 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 23.5 of PIR per game, shooting 66.1% from two, 42.6% from deep, and 85.9% at the charity stripe.

He’s leading the EuroLeague in PIR, points scored, and total rebounds. Sasha Vezenkov, who was also named November MVP, will receive his award at an upcoming Olympiacos home game.
