There’s a done deal between Tyler Dorsey and Fenerbahce and the Greek-American guard is expected to return soon to Europe where he will stay for good for the next two and a half seasons.

Per Eurohoops sources, the contract will not include any NBA outs until the summer of 2025, as the club is working very hard to finalize paperwork before the EuroLeague deadline. The final monthly salary is around 140.000 euros.

By joining Fenerbahce, Dorsey will play under Greek coach Dimitris Itoudis, who also coached him in the Greek national team in the recent Eurobasket.

He was recently released by the Texas Legends of the G-League where he averaged 18.9 ppg, 2.7 apg, and 4.6 rpg.

In the 2021-22 EuroLeague, Dorsey averaged 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists with Olympiacos reaching the Final Four.

While multiple EuroLeague teams expressed an interest in signing Dorsey when the Dallas Mavericks cut the player in December, including Olympiacos Piraeus, Fenerbahce Beko, and AS Monaco, this time the player had contacts with Anadolu Efes which is also on the market for a guard.

However, Fenerbahce which had targeted Dorsey since last summer made him a solid offer and managed to complete the deal just in time.

Mr. March

Dorsey was born on February 18, 1996, in Pasadena, California. He played college basketball at the University of Oregon from 2015 to 2017, where he helped lead the Ducks to the Final Four in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, getting the nickname “Mr. March”.

Dorsey was selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 2017 NBA draft. He played two seasons with the Hawks before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in February 2019 and eventually moving to Europe where he also played for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
