After suffering a torn ACL in his left knee at the end of the 2021-22 season, Martin Hermannsson is coming back for Valencia.

Before the EuroLeague game against Baskonia, in fact, Alex Mumbrú confirmed the former ALBA Berlin player will play soon for the Spanish side. “In principle, he will not travel to Vitoria with the team, but it may be that in the end, he will. In any case, it won’t take long for him to be with the team. Martin has carried out a very controlled process and was taken care of by the doctors. He recently started training with the group and has more rhythm than thought. He is an intelligent player, but he lacks a bit of competition rhythm”, he said.

“We are going to see if, little by little, we can get Martin in. He is a great player, who gives us peace of mind, clear-sightedness, and control in the game. In addition, he knows the EuroLeague, so he can give us a lot from day one. When you come back from such a long injury you have 15 days, a month, of overexcitement, and you try to do things that you didn’t do before, now I see it in that moment of desire and extreme enthusiasm to help the team”, the former head coach of Bilbao added.
