A legendary former player of Partizan and Virtus Bologna, Predrag Danilovic will attend Tuesday’s game in Bologna against the two teams in round 27 of Turkis Airlines EuroLeague.
Danilovic started his career in Partizan where he become a European champion in 1992. After Partizan is signed with Virtus.
Arriving in the Italian city of Bologna and the club Virtus with an aura of the EuroLeague champion and EuroLeague Final Four MVP, big things were expected of 22-year-old Danilovic. He quickly becomes a big factor in all Virtus successes.
In 1995, Danilovic was drafted by the NBA’s Miami Heat and played for one season before returning to Europe to continue his career. He joined Virtus Bologna again, where he won the EuroLeague championship in 1998.
Danilovic also had a successful career playing for the Yugoslavian national team, winning a gold medal at the 1990 FIBA World Championship and a gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He is considered one of the greatest basketball players to come out of Serbia.
