After helping their teams beat respectively Valencia at home and Baskonia on the road, both Gabriel Deck and Chima Moneke have been named MVP of the EuroLeague Round 28, sharing a PIR of 26, the highest in the whole European competition among the recent games.
The Argentinian small forward, who has been playing one of the most underrated seasons in Europe, led Real Madrid with an effective all-around performance of 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists, shooting 5/8 from two and being perfect at the line (8/8).
The Nigerian 27-year-old, who played his 8th game in the EuroLeague, registered his first double-double of the season since coming back from the NBA with 14 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 4/9 inside the area and without missing any free throws on 6 attempts.
Gabriel Deck is averaging 12.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game, helping Real Madrid (19-8) be just behind Olympiacos in the highest positions of the EuroLeague standings.
Chima Moneke, who started the season between the Sacramento Kings and the G-League, is having 5.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game starting off the bench for AS Monaco (18-10), which is tied with FC Barcelona for the 3rd position in the Regular Season.
