Isaiah Canaan took another plane to the US a few hours after Olympiakos’ return from Belgrade, where the Piraeus team lost to Partizan Mozzart Bet.
The American guard traveled to his home country to be by his wife’s side for the birth of their second child.
Canaan will thus miss the match against PAOK in the Basket League, and it is still unknown when he will return or if he will be able to participate in the EuroLeague’s double week.
After the PAOK game, Olympiacos will face Asvel (29.03) and Panathinaikos (31.03) in Rounds 31 and 32 of the elite European competition.
The 31-year-old sharpshooter with six years of experience in the NBA joined Olympiacos last summer from Galatasaray and has been averaging 5,7 points in the EuroLeague and 10,3 in the domestic league.
