The Turkish team won’t have the Serbian superstar in the clash in Belgrade

The decisive day has come for Fenerbahce, as the yellow-and-blue team will discover its fate in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Round 34, where Dimitris Itoudis’ side will go up against Crvena Zvezda.

It’s a decisive matchup that, if won, could send Fenerbahce to the playoffs, but Nemanja Bjelica won’t be part of the game. The 34-year-old Serbian, who came back to the EuroLeague after winning the NBA in 2022 with the Golden State Warriors, has been ruled out from the game as officially announced by the club.

After missing a big part of the 2022-23 Regular Season due to a calf injury, Nemanja Bjelica has only played 7 games throughout the European year, averaging 2.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. He just spent 8:29 minutes on the court on average.

He won’t be the only one missing the game, as Scottie Wilbekin, Devin Booker, and Metecan Birsen are out as well. However, Fenerbahce will need a win in order to book their ticket for the playoffs: with a loss and both Baskonia and Zalgiris Kaunas getting the victories on the road, they will be out.
