In EuroLeague Round 34, Virtus Bologna managed to beat EA7 Emporio Armani Milano 89-84 in the second Italian derby of the European season, and the red-and-white side played without Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who last played in Round 32 against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

In the post-game press conference, Ettore Messina announced that the agreement between the French swingman and the Italian side, which referred only to EuroLeague games, is over, so he won’t continue with the team.

Joining the team in late November 2022 to replace the injured Shavon Shields, the former Philadelphia 76ers player stepped onto the EuroLeague court on 24 occasions, averaging 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game.
