Alongside Lorenzo Brown and Wade Baldwin IV and others, Bonzie Colson joined Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer of 2022, and his contribution helped the Israeli team reach the playoffs. Interviewed by the competition on the latest “Focus on” episode, the Notre Dame product shared his experience so far.

“I am in Europe, but it is the best league in Europe. It’s really competitive. I knew it was going to be a tough adjustment. Every game is a tough game. I have to take a step back, understand your role and be a pro within your role”, the Maccabi Tel Aviv forward said.

After spending the past few seasons in the Basketball Champions League with Pinar Karsiyaka, the 27-year-old American player has been averaging 10.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game, shooting 58.5% from two and leading Oded Kattash’s team to the 5th position in the standings.

The yellow-and-blue team will need the best Bonzie Colson possible in order to fight for the first Final Four for the Israeli side since 2014. In the EuroLeague Quarter-Finals, Maccabi will face AS Monaco in an exciting best-of-five series.
