Crushing AS Monaco 104-69 in Game 4, Maccabi Tel Aviv managed to tie the best-of-five series 2-2 and force Game 5, which will be played on the Monegasque court on Wednesday. Lorenzo Brown was a key factor for Oded Kattash’s team, being the best player on the court.

The former Fenerbahce and UNICS Kazan point guard scored 22 points and dished 6 assists in under 28 minutes of playing time, shooting 6/8 from beyond the arc. “I just believed in my teammates, that’s what it’s all about: teamwork. We came out tonight and fought, and I think that’s what we were missing in Game 3. We shared the ball a lot more and put a lot of pressure on the defensive end”, he said after the win.

Sharing the court with Wade Baldwin IV, who had 19 points and 6 assists against Mike James and teammates, Lorenzo Brown emerged even more. “I wouldn’t say it’s just me. I have a guy over here to the left of me Wade Baldwin who does the exact same thing as me, so I’m just grateful to have him, grateful to have the rest of my teammates out here and we’re pushing for the championship”, the playmaker of the Spanish national team added.

The former Bayern Munich and Baskonia player also talked about his teammate following the impressive win. “As leaders, me and Lorenzo [Brown], we had a poor shooting night in Game 3. Monaco, they were very aggressive and they took the battle to us. Everybody who played tonight had that back-against-the-wall feeling. We executed and we got a big win, but we’ve got to go back to Monaco for Game 5 and it’ll be the fight for our lives to go to the Final Four”, Wade Baldwin added.

In this playoff series against Monaco, Lorenzo Brown is averaging 16.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, shooting 45.5% from two, 40.9% from three, and being perfect at the line (8/8). Wade Baldwin is having impressive numbers with 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game, shooting 59.4% from two, 40% from the arc, and 72.7% at the line.
